Hi — I’m Chris. Tech805 is my “friendly tech support + straight-shooting IT advice” service for people who just want their stuff to work. I help homes and small businesses with computers, Wi-Fi, email, backups, and security — and I keep it simple, honest, and low-stress.
Most tech problems aren’t “hard” — they’re just annoying, time-consuming, and stressful when you’re in the middle of work or trying to relax. My job is to jump in, fix the immediate issue, and then help you set things up so it doesn’t keep happening.
I work with a lot of real-life setups: mixed Apple/Windows households, small businesses with multiple email accounts, Wi-Fi that’s “mostly fine” until it isn’t, printers that act possessed, and computers that slowly turned into molasses over time. If you’ve ever said “it was working yesterday,” you’re my people.
I’m also security-minded — scams, sketchy popups, compromised accounts, and ransomware are way more common than they should be. I’ll help you clean things up, lock things down, and build safer habits without turning your life into a password spreadsheet nightmare.
Outlook/Gmail setup, password resets, sync errors, crashes, slow computers, software installs, printer issues.
New computer onboarding, migrations, backups, Wi-Fi upgrades, smart home & home office tuning.
“What should I buy?” decisions, storage strategy, security basics, and small business IT planning.
I’m based in Southern California and commonly support clients around Ventura County / Camarillo / Thousand Oaks / Malibu. Remote support is available anywhere — if you can get online, I can usually help.
